idk but people are fricken shady -_-. I just found out my "friend" lied to me about his girl breaking up with him. I was telling him about what happened with me n why I'm single now. He's trying to take advantage of the situation by saying she broke up with him... over text -_-. I found out they didn't break up... they got married

I don't think you have to do anything to anyone for them to backstab. Backstabbing is an opportunity. When selfishness gets the best of someone, they backstab to get what they want acknowledging the risks and/or consequences (but usually thinking they can get away with it by overconfidence or exploiting trust)
